Limited lifetime workmanship warranty

1. What this limited lifetime workmanship warranty covers

Nova Body Shop ("Nova", "we", "us") warrants that the collision and body repairs we perform will be free from defects in our workmanship and in the paint and materials we supply, for as long as the person who paid for the repair owns the vehicle ("the warranty period"). If a covered defect appears during the warranty period, we will repair it at no charge for the parts, materials and labor needed to correct our work.

Examples of covered defects include paint that peels, bubbles, cracks or loses its gloss, or a panel we installed that comes loose or misaligned, when the cause is our workmanship or materials. The warranty applies whether you paid for the repair yourself or through an insurance claim. Like the lifetime warranties many insurance direct repair program shops offer, it covers our work for as long as you own the car.

2. What it does not cover

• New damage that happens after the vehicle leaves our shop, including collisions, vandalism, road debris, rock chips, hail, weather, flooding, fire or theft.
• Normal wear and tear, and normal fading or aging of paint from sun exposure and time.
• Damage from neglect, misuse, improper care or cleaning, harsh chemicals, or washing, waxing or polishing new paint before we told you it was safe to do so.
• Any repair, alteration or modification made by anyone other than Nova to the area we repaired.
• Parts supplied by the customer, and used or recycled parts the customer specifically asked us to install. For these, we warrant only our labor to install them.
• Pre-existing conditions, rust or damage that were not part of the repair we performed, and areas of the vehicle we did not repair.
• Work performed by third parties, including ADAS calibration, glass, mechanical and electrical work, which is covered by those providers' own warranties. We will help you contact them.
• Defects in parts made by others, which are covered by the part manufacturer's own warranty, except for our labor to install them. We will help you use the manufacturer's warranty.
• Vehicles used for racing, off-road competition or commercial rental, unless we agreed otherwise in writing.

3. How to make a warranty claim

1. Contact us promptly after you notice the problem: call 512-837-7723 or text 512-837-8174.
2. Bring the vehicle to Nova Body Shop, 8415 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78753, during business hours, with your repair invoice or other proof that we performed the repair.
3. We will inspect the vehicle at no charge and tell you what we find. If you ask, we will explain our findings in writing.
4. If the problem is covered, we will schedule the correction at no charge.

4. Who is covered

This warranty is given to the person who paid for the repair and applies only while that person owns the vehicle. It is not transferable to a later owner. It covers only work performed and paid for at Nova Body Shop, as shown on our invoice.

5. What we will do, and limits

If a covered defect appears, we will repair it. If we are unable to repair it after a reasonable number of attempts, we will refund the amount you paid for the affected repair. To the extent permitted by law, Nova is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, such as towing, rental vehicles, loss of use or lost time.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

6. Your other rights

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. This warranty does not disclaim, limit or waive any implied warranties or any rights you have under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act or other applicable law.
